Celebrating at Zaamzorg
Zaamzorg, with locations in Amsterdam and Soest, offers assisted living and individual support for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. A warm environment where sign language is the norm.
Earlier this year, we redesigned their entire website, including the copy, photography, and two days of green-screen filming using sign language to support the written text. We also refined the corporate identity for both the website and other communication channels. After that, we received another assignment.
It was a double celebration on 26 September, World Deaf Day: Zaamzorg not only celebrated its 15th anniversary, but also the official opening of its second location in Soest.
We had a lot of fun helping them organise this festive event.
It was a fun afternoon filled with surprises. During the opening speech, a toast was made with alcohol-free champagne to celebrate the occasion. After that, everyone joined an activity carousel: a tour of the new location, a sign language workshop, a performance by a spoken-word artist, tile decorating, and a Kahoot quiz. Throughout the afternoon, you could order coffee in sign language at the Signista.
At the end of the day, there was plenty of room to relax and have fun, with a wide range of board games, a bouncy castle, and a photobooth to capture a lovely memory. Over barbecue bites and drinks, guests continued chatting and reminiscing.
